One Last Year of Magic in Billings!

2026 State Summer Games | May 13–15

One Last Year of MAGIC in Billings

For the past three years, Billings has been home to something truly special. What started as a host city partnership turned into an experience that can only be described as MAGICAL.

Now, May 13–15, 2026, we return for the final chapter of this remarkable three-year run. And if the first two years are any indication, this finale will be unforgettable.

The Billings community has shown up in ways that have exceeded every expectation. More than 50 local and statewide sponsors have stepped forward to make these Games possible. Over 30 community leaders have spent the past year working alongside Special Olympics Montana staff to thoughtfully plan every detail. Over 1,000 event volunteers have shown up each year to make the games happen. The result is an event powered by heart, collaboration, and an unmistakable sense of pride.

This year’s theme says it perfectly: Magic in the Air. You can feel it already.

Competition Across the Magic City

Athletes will compete and celebrate at venues across Billings, including:

  • Rocky Mountain College
  • MSUB
  • Magic City Gymnastics
  • MetraPark
  • Lockwood High School
  • Par 3 Golf Course

From courts to tracks to fairways, the entire community becomes part of the experience.

Opening Ceremony | May 13 | 6:30 PM at First Interstate Arena at MetraPark

Opening Ceremony is where the energy truly ignites. This year, we are honored to celebrate the rich Native American culture surrounding Billings and communities across Montana with an incredible showcase of local Native talent.

The evening will also feature the Parade of Athletes and the unforgettable arrival of the Flame of Hope. If you have never witnessed that moment, this is your year. It is powerful, emotional, and impossible not to feel in your chest.

We invite the entire community to join us. Opening Ceremony and ALL COMPETITION is open to the public. We need you to cheer loudly and help us close out this three-year journey in Billings, the only way we know how. Big smiles. Big moments. Big MAGIC.

May 13–15. Be there. Feel the Magic in the Air.
